A short set of terms for using PacePot
PacePot is a free savings planning tool. These terms explain what it is, what it is not, and what you are responsible for. Plain English, no small print.
Last updated 20 August 2026.
PacePot is a planning tool, not advice
PacePot helps you set savings targets and work out the monthly pace needed to reach them. It is not financial advice, investment advice, mortgage advice, legal advice or tax advice, and nothing on this site should be treated as a personal recommendation.
The calculators are deliberately simple. They divide what you still need by the time you have left. They do not model interest, investment growth, inflation, tax or charges, and they cannot account for your wider circumstances. Where a decision matters, speak to a qualified adviser.
Your responsibility
Check your own numbers
You are responsible for the figures you enter and the decisions you make. PacePot works from what you type in, so a wrong figure produces a confident wrong answer.
Keep your own backup
Your data lives only in your browser. Clearing your browser data, switching device or using private browsing will lose it. Use the Backup option in the app if the data matters to you.
Do not store sensitive details
Never put passwords, bank login details, card numbers or account numbers into PacePot. It is a planning tool and has no need for any of them.
Use it lawfully
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, misuse it, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
Availability and accuracy
PacePot is provided free and as-is. It may change, break, or be withdrawn at any time, and no guarantee is made that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for your situation.
Reasonable care goes into the calculations, but no warranty is given that they are accurate or complete. To the extent the law allows, PacePot and its creator accept no liability for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its figures. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your data
Everything you enter stays in your browser. PacePot has no accounts, no server storage and no bank connections, so there is no account for anyone to access and nothing held on our side. Anonymous usage analytics are covered separately in the privacy policy.
Links to other sites
PacePot links out to other websites, for example a support page or a government resource. Those sites are not controlled by PacePot and have their own terms and privacy policies. Following an external link is at your own discretion.
Ownership
The PacePot name, design, wording and code belong to their creator. You are welcome to use the tool freely for your own personal savings planning. You may not copy the site wholesale and present it as your own.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as PacePot changes. The date at the top of this page shows the last revision, and continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
Questions or feedback about these terms: makswittenbecksites@gmail.com. Please do not send bank details, passwords or private financial information by email.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
