Your data stays on your device

PacePot is a browser-based tool. No accounts, no server storage, no bank connections. Here is exactly what happens to your information.

What PacePot stores

Everything you enter in PacePot is saved in your browser's localStorage, under the key shortTermSavingsPlanner.v1. This includes your goal names, target amounts, deadlines, contributions, and budget entries.

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, not readable by PacePot, and not shared with anyone. Clearing your browser's site data removes it permanently.

What PacePot does not store

No account or login

PacePot has no user accounts. You never enter an email address or password.

No bank connection

PacePot does not connect to any bank, payment provider, or financial institution. Every figure you enter is typed manually.

No financial values sent anywhere

The amounts, goals, and budgets you enter are stored only in your browser. They are never sent to a server or third party.

No cookies for tracking

PacePot sets no tracking cookies. The only browser storage used is localStorage, which you can clear at any time.

Analytics

PacePot uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used. GA4 collects anonymous usage data such as which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and which calculators are used. It does not collect any financial values you enter, any goal names, or any personal data.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Your data, your control

Because PacePot stores nothing on a server, there is nothing to request, delete, or transfer on our end. To remove your PacePot data entirely, clear your browser's localStorage for pacepot.com in your browser settings. That permanently deletes everything.
